My digital artefact is an Instagram page containing Piano Covers. I have been playing the piano since I was 13 years old. Previously, I used to cover random songs on Instagram and YouTube. Furthermore, I will take into consideration the mistakes I made in my previous projects, hence this should give me a competitive advantage.
Mostly, piano cover pages on Instagram tend to cover trendy songs, and that is a strategy to gain engagement quickly, but they do not focus on covering songs from a single genre. Furthermore, I will be creating Pop music piano covers; therefore, I will be able to attract those who are fans of this music genre. My target audience are young adults who enjoy listening to pop and are located in Europe, because those who listen to lots of Pop are located there (MIZ 2021).
I will be listening to my audience in order to identify their favourite Pop artists and their songs. Then I will be covering those songs on my piano (curating content). Further, I will be recording, and editing the covers, in which I will be adding other sorts of media before publishing the video (aggregating content). Finally, I will be adjusting my content, breaking, and changing, as per my audience’s feedback (Synthesizing). Examples of feedback that I could be receiving collaborating with a similar content creator, change my platform, etc.
In the future, I am planning to grow my portfolio and create piano covers on other platforms such as Spotify, SoundCloud, and YouTube.

It’s great that you chose an idea that fits your hobby. As far as I know, making piano covers takes a lot of time, effort, and repetition, but I am sure you will do well.
I think that your choice of Instagram as a platform is very suitable for me as I enjoy watching short reels.
But for the others of your target audience, in addition to Instagram, you can also use other social media platforms to show your piano skills such as Tik Tok or YouTube channels.
You can have your own playing style behind each cover to give your audience a reason to come back to your video and not go to someone else.
